Steven Wyn Owen has been confirmed as Director of Photography on two of the six upcoming Play of the Week films commissioned by Channel 5, produced by LA Productions in Liverpool. This bold new drama strand aims to bring fresh, authored storytelling to a primetime audience, with each 90-minute film standing alone as a compelling piece of television. While four of the episodes are being produced in London by a separate company, Steven’s episodes represent the Northern contribution to the series — blending grounded, character-led drama with cinematic visual storytelling. Currently in production, the films are set to air later this year as part of Channel 5’s commitment to distinctive, regional voices.
